DIPLOMA IN RADIO STATION OPERATIONS & MANAGEMENT (DRSOM)
Course Details
This one-year intensive Diploma provides a lively, relevant & detailed learning of
the world of Radio Broadcasting & lays particular emphasis on ‘On-Air’ skills,
Production Techniques, Management Functions, Marketing & Presentation Skills.
You will learn the craft of communication effectively; develop your wit,
observation skills, natural style & good studio skills. You will learn how to harness
your creativity & confidence to best effect. With experienced professionals
delivering the lectures, practical exercises, radio station visits & guest lectures by
industry experts, the course is designed to provide students with comprehensive
training to enter the exciting & rewarding world of radio.
Course Duration
One year (3 days a week – 3 hrs a day)
Total - 375 hours
Qualification Awarded
Students who successfully complete this programme will be awarded the
‘Diploma in Radio Station Operations and Management’.
Programme information
Students are expected to sustain a full-time & responsible commitment to this course, with the understanding that productive group work & success in the programme depends on 100% participation.
In addition to timetabled classes, there is an expectation the students will complete self-directed learning & appropriate preparation, developmental training & practice in the student’s own time is necessary.
Selection Criteria
Applicants will be required to attend an interview to assess suitability for the programme besides, an Audition.
