Academy of Broadcasting (under the aegis of the Buzz Network Education & Research Society) which is India's oldest, largest and the global leader in training Radio Jockeys and radio talent has added another feather to it's cap by being ranked at # 14 amongst the Top 50 Mass Communication Colleges of India for the year 2009, in a recent survey conducted by the very renowned KAB Educational Consultants, Hyderabad. In achieving this enviable position, the Academy of Broadcasting has been ranked much above some of India's oldest universities like Mumbai University, Banaras Hindu University, Aligarh Muslim University, Birla Institute of Technology, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Guru Nanak Dev University, Jamia Islamia University, Kurukshetra University, Lovely Professional University, Goa University etc.
The Academy of Broadcasting has also been ranked above some very respected specialised Mass Communication institutes like Manipal Institute of Communication, Narsee Monji Institute of Management Studies, Amity School of Journalism, Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan's Sardar Patel College of Communication, Convergence Institute of Media Management, EMPI Institute of Advertising etc.

The Academy of Broadcasting website has achieved top rankings on the internet's 'Best Search Engines' by being ranked consistently on positions ranging between # 2 and # 4. It has received a rank of # 2 on Yahoo, # 3 on Bing, Lycos and Altavista, while on Google it is featured on Wikipedia at the coveted # 4 spot. The unique part of this is that the rankings have been achieved by inputting a very generic term 'Radio Jockey' and not by just typing the name of the Academy of Broadcasting. "All this has been possible because of our consistent efforts in promoting and marketing our website besides, the effective management of our internet properties", remarked Mr. Anil Jinsi, Vice-President of the Academy of Broadcasting.
Today, the Academy of Broadcasting is India's largest, oldest and globally the biggest Radio Jockey training academy having a presence in more than 40 cities spread all over India. The Academy of Broadcasting is proud to announce the joining of Mr. Sundar Mohan at it's Lucknow centre. He was the very popular host of India's best-ever and longest running radio show 'Cibaca Geetmala' made famous by the great Ameen Sayani. Sundar is a leading Radio Jockey and voice trainer and also the holder of the 'Limca Record' for having presented more than 24 programmes dedicated to Lata Mangeshkar. He has extensive experience of working with some of the biggest names in the voice world like Radio Mirchi, Zee TV, Star TV, Tomato FM, Discovery channel, All India Radio, Doordarshan, Times FM, Radio Star etc.

India's oldest and largest Radio Jockey training academy has announced a brand new one-year diploma for the benefit of the students wishing to enter the exciting and rewarding world of radio. Besides this they shall be opening it's own branches in Mohali and Panchkula to cater to the demand of the residents there.

Students pursuing the Radio Jockey course at the Academy of Broadcasting have bagged some excellent offers from top radio stations as Radio Jockeys. Diksha Sethi, a student and a co-host on Radio Buzz's shows has been picked up as a Radio Jockey by 104.8 Meow FM while one of their youngest stars RJ Garima Saini has been selected as 'On-Air' talent by the prestigious Radio Mirchi, New Delhi. Earlier RJ Jassi and Nikhil were selected by 94.3 My FM while RJ Sunny was taken by Big 92.7 FM. Commenting on the selections a proud Hardeep Chandpuri, the Founder of the Academy said, "It is a matter of great pride for us, as all of them are doing very well in their profession and besides professional training, it is their hard work and dedication that has held them good".

'At a recent national convention on radio organized by Radio Duniya at New Delhi, the main point of discussion amongst Ministry personnel and radio station top honchos, was the non-availability of the 'right' talent and the efforts taken by the Academy of Broadcasting to bridge this gap were duly appreciated. Interestingly, Radio Buzz started by Hardeep Singh Chandpuri in 2002 became very popular and revolutionized the radio scene in the region and led to the subsequent launch of the Academy of Broadcasting in 2003. His efforts were lauded by the industry leaders and even the Joint Secretary (Broadcasting), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt of India.

RJ Meenakshi, the famous RJ of Big FM, Chandigarh who is also a trained radio professional from the Academy of Broadcasting is all smiles, as she has been declared the Best RJ on Big FM, All India level. The very popular show, "9 Baje Ki Setting" is hosted by her in which she chit chats with the people of Chandigarh.
RJ Meenakshi has also hosted shows for Taal Radio, New Zealand and Radio Buzz with RJ Hardeep S. Chandpuri and has been trained by the Academy of Broadcasting.
